"I wanted a portrait of my little dog, Kimie, for my new home, and without hesitation, I thought of Alejandra. She did a beautiful job, capturing the essence, colours, and expression of my pet perfectly. I'm already thinking of ordering a second one for the new member of the family, "Mojito.""

About The artist

Alejandra was born in 1987 in Viña del Mar, Chile. In 2017, she moved to New Zealand, where she found a land she now calls home. It is here, through her passion for birds, that she has discovered not only a hobby in observing them but also a profound source of inspiration for her artwork. With studies in design, marketing, and oil painting in both Chile and New Zealand, Alejandra has developed art therapy workshops for Sororidad Latina (a feminist collective she founded in 2019, focused on supporting Latina immigrant women in New Zealand) and offers both individual and group painting classes for children and adults.
